Update 2: Xiaomi shares the official render of the Mi Watch revealing the full design on its Weibo account

Update 1: Xiaomi has also revealed the hardware features of the upcoming Mi smartwatch through its official Mijia Weibo account. The smartwatch is teased to equip high-performance CPU, GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC, and eSIM.

Xiaomi seems to be taking the wearable devices seriously to take on the likes of Apple and Fossil who are in a dominant position in the wearable market. The company is launching its first smartwatch loaded with Google’s Wear OS on November 5 in China. The watch is expected to come with calling, music playback, and messaging features. Ahead of its official launch, Xiaomi Founder Lei Jun shared the render of the smartwatch revealing the design in full glory.

The official render of the Xiaomi Mi Watch shared by Lei Jun reveals a display that is unusually long in the portrait direction. Xiaomi seems to have taken a clue from Apple to design the smartwatch. Just like the Apple Watch, there is a Digital Crown (rotatory wheel) for setting time and date and a button to the side of the Mi Watch. Buyers will have a choice to choose from various colors of the strips. Xiaomi is expected to load the stock Wear OS on its Mi Watches.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch launch event will take place on November 25 at 2 PM in China. Alongside the Mi Watch, Xiaomi will also launch the Mi CC9 Pro and Mi TV 5. The CC9 Pro is going to the world’s first smartphone with a 108MP camera. Globally, the Mi CC9 Pro will launch as the Mi Note 10 (Pro) As for the pricing, the wearable device is expected to be priced under CNY 999 (approx Rs 10,000) in China. The company is also expected to launch the device globally including India, European countries soon.
