Xiaomi is all set to introduce the fifth-generation Mi TV in China which will be called Mi TV 5. The TV is said to come with a 4K Quantum Dot display and a 108% NTSC color gamut. Today, Xiaomi announced a new feature coming to the Mi TV 5 series. The Company through microblogging site Weibo announced that the Mi TV 5 will be equipped with
MEMC dedicated hardware chip for fluid frame-to-frame motion and outstanding screen refresh rates that is extremely helpful while playing fast-paced gaming or watching high octane action movies. Xiaomi also says that the motion picture will be more smooth and details in the movement will be shown more clearly.
Interestingly, OnePlus TVs, Motorola TVs and even the Mi TV 4X 65-inch, Mi TV 4X 50-inch come with MEMC technology (. The technology is extremely helpful in cases where the TV supports a higher refresh rate for eg., 120Hz or 60Hz and the video/TV show supports only 24 frames per second. By removing the latency during the scene shift, the MEMC will offer smoother pictures with a high refresh rate.
Other features that Xiaomi already revealed include the 4K quantum dot screen and 108% NTSC color gamut. Xiaomi stated that the new Mi TV 5 will come with break-through quality improvement over the previous generation Mi TVs.
Alongside Mi TV5, Xiaomi will also launch the CC9 Pro with Snapdragon 730G, 108MP Penta-camera setup and all-new Mi Watch loaded with Snapdragon Wear 3100 and Android Wear OS.
