Xiaomi is all set to launch the fifth-generation Mi TV on November 5 in China. The LED TV is going to be revolutionary both in terms of hardware and pricing and will set a benchmark in the segment. Xiaomi has already started announcing its key features which increased the hype around it. Today, the company via its official Weibo handle announced the internal hardware of the Mi TV 5. The TV will come with a 4K Quantum Dot QLED display with 108% NTSC Color Gamut. There will also be a MEMC dedicated chip for playing smoother videos. The new Mi TV 5 will equip the Amologic 12nm T972 chip that is jointly developed by Xiaomi and Amologic. It has a quad-core A55 processor architecture that has up to 1.9 GHz clock speed. The processor is said to deliver 63% improved performance compared to the previous generation chip. Xiaomi used the same chip in the recently launched Mi Full Screen TV Pro lineup. Under the hood, there will be 4GB of RAM coupled with eMMC 64GB of internal storage which will allow installing more apps and store videos. Not only that, but the Mi TV 5 will also support 8K video playback. It is already announced that the Mi TV 5 will flaunt a sleek design.
