Xiaomi released its first 5G smartphone in February this year but hasn’t made it public yet. The phone recently appeared in China Unicom Partner Conference where it achieved a download rate of up to 2Gbps. In simple words, the Mi MIX 3 5G can download a 5-minute 1080p video or 26 MP3 songs in just one second. Now, Xiaomi has officially announced that the Mi MIX 3 5G will finally launch in Switzerland on May 2 through Swiss operator Sunrise. Sales also to begin on 2nd May. The launch also paves the way for Xiaomi to take Mi MIX 3 5G to other countries in Europe and Asia.
The Mi MIX 3 5G is priced at CHF 847. Looking at Xiaomi’s pricing policy, the MIX 3 5G price is seen to be a bit on the higher side. The company says that the price of 5G chips and internal components is still very high that could not keep the final price handy.
The Mi MIX 3 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset coupled with Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem. The device uses a sliding front-facing camera design that resulted in a 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. There is a dual camera set up in the rear that can shoot 960 fps videos. The body is made of ceramic which gives a glossy and tough feeling.
During the launch event, Xiaomi said that it is partnering with Orange, 3, Sunrise, Telefonica, Tim and Vodafone for launch in respective countries.
