Xiaomi just launched a new storage variant for its flagship smartphone, the Mi 9 in China. The Mi 9 which was launched in China earlier this year is available in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variants. Now, the Xiaomi Mi 9 gets 8GB + 256GB storage variant making the number of variants available to three. The new variant will be available for purchase starting August 14 via all the popular e-commerce websites in China. Priced at CNY 3,299, buyers purchasing during the first sale will get a free 20W wireless charger which retails at CNY 99.
Xiaomi Mi 9 is equipped with Snapdragon 855 chipset and comes in 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variants. The former two variants received a CNY 400 price cut and now sells at CNY 2599 and CNY 2999 respectively. The device flaunts a 6.39-inch AMOLED 19.5:9 Super AMOLED FHD+ waterdrop display. At the rear, there is a triple camera setup that is comprised of 48 MP primary camera + 12 MP telephoto lens + 16 MP super wide-angle lens. For selfie lovers, there is a 20 MP sensor at the front. Bearing an under-display fingerprint sensor, the device is powered by 3300 mAh battery that also supports 27W fast charging and 20W fast wireless charging.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 is available in three color options – Lavender Violet, Ocean Blue, Piano Black. The device runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and is now receiving Android 10 Q under the beta program that Xiaomi announced a few months ago.
