Xiaomi India teases Explorer Program for Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro

The popular smartphone brand Xiaomi has launched the teaser of an upcoming Explorer program in India. The Explorer program will be for Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones. More details about the same will be revealed tomorrow. To recall, Xiaomi will launch its K20-series smartphones within four weeks in India, as promised by its India Chief Manu Kumar Jain.

The company introduced both Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones last month. In the past, Xiaomi had launched Explorer programs for the Mi A2 and Redmi Note 5 smartphones as well. In the line of this tradition, a few fans, selected by Xiaomi, will be allowed to experience a smartphone prior to its launch. In addition, the company will also invite Mi explorers in the launch events as well.

The Redmi K20 comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display along with a screen resolution of 1,080X2,340 pixels. The pixel density of the screen is 403 PPI. The screen comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protecting it from scratches. On the other hand, the Redmi K20 Pro flaunts a 6.39-inch AMOLED display. The screen resolution is1080X2340 pixels and the pixel density is 403 PPI.

Xioami Redmi K20 is powered by an octa-core 2.84 GHz processor that is seated upon a Snapdragon 730 chipset. Along with that, it also has 6 GB of RAM and Adreno 640 GPU for multitasking and gaming requirements, respectively. Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro, on the other hand, has an octa-core 2.84 GHz processor and a Snapdragon 855 chipset. For multitasking, the smartphone has 6 GB RAM along with an Adreno 640 GPU, which can easily handle heavy gaming.

The Redmi K20 provides 64 GB internal storage. However, the storage space is non-expandable owing to the absence of a microSD card slot. Whereas the Redmi K20 Pro has a 64 GB internal storage space, which is also non-expandable.

Xiaomi has given a triple rear camera setup for the Redmi K20 – a primary lens of 48MP along with a 13MP and an 8MP sensors. At the front, it flaunts a 20MP front camera. The Redmi K20 Pro has a tripe rear camera setup as well – a 48MP primary lens along with a 13MP and an 8MP sensors. Features such as autofocus and portrait mode are also available on both smartphones.

When it comes to connectivity, Redmi K20 offers VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11, mobile hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS along with A-GPS, USB- Type-C, Glonass, and many more. Redmi K20 Pro, on the other hand, offers 4G with VoLTE support, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, mobile hotspot, and USB Type-C, and many other features.

Xioami has given a 4,000 mAh Li-Polymer battery for its Redmi K20. The smartphone also has fast charging support. Also, for Redmi K20 Pro, the company has opted for a 4,000 mAh Li-Polymer battery. The smartphone has QC4+ fast charge protocol as well.
