Black Shark 2 Pro is going to launch in China on July 30 as a successor to the Black Shark 2 that was launched in March of this year. The Black Shark 2 Pro gaming smartphone will sport the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. The device now opened for the appointment at China’s leading e-commerce store JD.com ahead of July 30th launch. The dedicated page does reveal a few of the key specifications of the gaming smartphone.
The Black Shark 2 Pro comes with DC Dimming 2.0 support, meaning that the feature could operate better in saving the power than that of the Black Shark 2. The reservations begin today and end on July 30, which is the official launch date of the device. Apart from this, the website also revealed the render of the smartphone, although no details can be retrieved from it. The gaming phone was spotted on Geekbench, where we got to know that it will be equipped by a Snapdragon 855 SoC, 12GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie OS. Going by the teaser shared by the company, the phone seems to have a single camera at the rear with an LED flash beside it. There is an X-shaped design at the rear which gives a feel of a gaming smartphone.
Only July 15th of this month, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. ASUS was the first company to launch the ROG Phone 2 equipped with the chipset. Now, apart from the Black Shark 2 Pro, Samsung will also likely launch the Galaxy Note 10 with the Snapdragon 855 Plus processor.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 was launched in March 2019 as a gaming-centric smartphone. The device is equipped with Snapdragon 855 SoC and comes with special features like Liquid Cooling, DC Dimming, Pressure sensing controls, and more.
