The three leading telecom operators, Reliance Jio, Vodafone-Idea, and Airtel are involved in a fierce competition in the telecom space and are constantly updating their prepaid portfolios to retain old customers and lure new customers. While Reliance Jio has succeeded to establish a firm foothold in the Indian telecom space, the other leading players like Airtel and Vodafone Idea are continuously catching up with it. In the latest move, Vodafone-Idea has refreshed its prepaid portfolio and launched two new prepaid recharge plans Rs 205 and Rs 225 for its subscribers. Both plans come with varying data and validity benefits. Let’s go through each of them in detail.
Rs 205 prepaid plan details
The Rs 205 prepaid recharge plan also known as Bonus card prepaid plan, offers unlimited calling benefits to the users along with bundled 4G data. There is no FUP on calls, and hence users can make unlimited local, STD and roaming calls during the subscription period. During the plan period, subscribers can also avail 600 local and national SMS. In terms of data, the customers can avail a total of 2GB high-speed data during the plan validity. In the case of data exhaustion, the users can recharge their account with additional data packs. The users would be charged 0.50 paise per MB without data recharge. The plan comes with a validity of 35 days.
Rs 225 prepaid plan details
The Rs 225 prepaid recharge plan comes with additional data benefits and validity. In line with the earlier Rs 205 plan, the users will get unlimited calling benefits that include local, STD, and roaming. During the plan period, the customers can also avail 600 local and national SMS. The new Rs 225 recharge plan offers additional 4GB of high-speed data for the entire validity period. Post data exhaustion, the customers need to recharge with additional data packs or needs to pay 50 paise per Mb for data services. The Rs 225 prepaid plan comes with a validity period of 48 days.
Both the plans offer free complimentary access to Vodafone Play, wherein users can enjoy Live TV, music videos, movies and more. As of now, both the prepaid plans are valid only in select circles across India that include Delhi and NCR, Jharkhand, UP (West), and Karnataka.
