Vivo Z5 launched in China; comes with Snapdragon 712 and triple rear camera setup

Vivo Z5 is now officially released in China as the latest Z-series smartphone. Previously, there had been a lot of rumours about the device but now it has appeared with top-notch specifications in its homeland. The key highlights of the smartphone include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor, triple rear camera setup and large battery capacity.

Vivo Z5 comes with fours RAM and storage configuration – 6GB RAM and 64GB memory (CNY 1,598 or Rs. 16,000 approx.), 6GB RAM with 128GB (CNY 1,898 or roughly Rs. 19,000), 6GB RAM with 256 GB (CNY 1,998 or Rs. 20,000 approx.) and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage (CNY 1,598 or Rs. 16,000 approx.).

The smartphone flaunts a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display having bezel-less and waterdrop notch design. It also gets an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device houses a beefy battery cell, which is further assisted the Flash Charging technology. In the optics department, it features a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor having f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 32MP lens with an f/2.4 aperture and is affixed to a pop-up mechanism.

Under the hood, the device arms a 2.3GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset, which is paired to Adreno 616 GPU. The entire function runs on the power pulled from a whopping 4,500mAh Li-ion battery that also supports 22.5W fast charging support. The smartphone will be available in Aurora Illusion (shade of gradient purple), Holographic Illusion (light blue) and Bamboo Night Forest (deep green) colour schemes.

The pre-booking will commence on August 1 via the e-commerce platforms in China while the actual sale will begin on August 6.
