According to sources, Vivo is all set to launch a new smartphone in India
in mid-July. This new handset, the Vivo Y90, would be an addition to Vivo’s Y series. Furthermore, It will be a budget offering, targeting buyers looking for a device under Rs 10,000. The price for Vivo Y90 in India will start at Rs 6,990 for the basic 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant. The handset will most-likely carry an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
This is the first time that any news about Vivo Y90 has been heard. Hence, we don’t know the exact details and specifications. However, it is probable that Vivo might be releasing the Y90 to give tough competition to Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi 7A smartphone. The Redmi 7A is scheduled to launch in India by tomorrow ( July 4th) and is expected to cost around Rs 6,000-7,000. Another smartphone in this competition is the Realme C2, which can be bought for Rs 5,999 in the country and features a dewdrop display, Helio P22 chipset, dual rear cameras, and a 4,000mAh battery.
Apart from this, users would also be happy to know that the Vivo Z series has made its debut in India and the Z1 pro is its first offering. The handset is the first from Vivo to feature a punch-hold display in India.
