Vivo Y70s is said to be the first 5G smartphone in the Y-series and also the first smartphone to use Samsung’s Exynos 880 processor. The Vivo Y70s is soon launching via China Unicom and will take on the OPPO A92s, which was launched with MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC. Ahead of the launch, official posters and live images of the device surfaced on Weibo, revealing key specifications and features of the Vivo Y70s.
According to the official poster, the Vivo Y70s will sport the Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 880 5G chipset, 48MP rear camera, 4500mAh battery and 8GB + 128GB of internal storage. On the rear, there is a triple camera setup and the selfie camera is arranged inside the punch-hole display. The device will be made available in three colors – Black, Pink and Bluish Green (Original color names might be different). The Vivo Y70s is also expected to sport 18W fast charging feature.
Apart from this, we also have the live images of the device and retail box, which confirms the back design and camera arrangement. The device appears to have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, suggesting the screen would be made of LCD.
Based on previous reports, Vivo V2002A model number that was spotted on Geekbench is said to belong to the Vivo Y70s. The Geekbench listing reveals Exynos 880 SoC, 8GB RAM and Android 10. The benchmark scores of the Vivo Y70s on Geekbench (641 and 1814) suggests the processor would compete with the MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC that is present in the OPPO A92s (530, 1720).
