It has only been a few days ago Vivo was said to bring its much-awaited mid-ranger Y15. Today, it has finally launched the Vivo Y15 (2019), which brings triple rear camera setup, high capacity battery and more. The smartphone offers a waterdrop display and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The new handset from the Chinese maker has been listed to the Y-series lineup, which is basically known to consist mid-segment smartphone from the company. Prior to this, the Vivo Y17 landed in the country a month ago and did receive a decent response in the Indian market.
According to the listing on the Vivo’s website, the Y15 (2019) sports a 6.35-inch display with a small waterdrop notch at the top and a screen resolution of 720 x 1,544 pixels. It has a pre-applied protective screen. Vivo Y15 flaunts a superb reflective back panel, which gives it a more classy appeal. Although the device is currently out of stock on its own website, the colour options show Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red variants. Also, in one of the blog post, the company has said that the device will be available in major brick and stores by tomorrow. It will also be available via the country’s e-commerce websites including Flipkart, Paytm, Amazon and Tata Cliq. It is priced Rs.13,990 in India for the 4GB + 64GB storage variant, which is the only configuration available in the country.
In addition to the launch of Vivo Y15 (2019), the company also avails offers, which include zero per cent EMI rate if it is availed via offline stores using Bajaj Finserve, HDFC Bank, HDBFS, IDFC Bank, Home Credit and Pinelabs Credit or Debit cards. Reliance offers benefits of up to 4,000 along with 3TB data from Jio. The online store avails no-cost EMI up to 9 months and an extra Rs. 1,000 off on exchange of an old device.
Coming to the processing front, the smartphone packs MediaTek Helio P22 SoC couple with a 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. However, there are no reports whether it gets additional storage support or not but based on the reports, the device features three slots. The dual-SIM smartphone is based on Funtouch OS 9 on top of Android 9 Pie. In terms of camera, it features a 13MP main camera alongside an 8MP super-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensing resolution. The front camera houses a 16MP lens with an aperture of f2.0. The connectivity of the device includes 4G VoLTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.0 and micro USB port.
Vivo Y15 (2019) is equipped with a huge battery capacity of 5,000mAh but sadly, there is no confirmation if it features a fast-charging technology or not. The in-box contents include the handset, charging adapter, USB port and an additional protective case.
