Vivo V17 Confirmed to Officially Launch in India on Dec 9 with A Punch-Hole Display, L-Shaped Rear Camera Module

Vivo has confirmed the launch of the Vivo V17 on December 9, putting an end to all the speculations surrounding its launch. The company has earlier sent the media invites for the V-series launch event in India, but it did not reveal the name of the phone. Now, Vivo has now officially revealed that the Vivo V17 would indeed be launched on December 9. The company has announced the same through its official twitter handle. Earlier, the phone was launched in Russia featuring a dewdrop display and a diamond-shaped camera module on the rear. However, the Vivo V17 Indian variant will be launched with a punch-hole display. Also, the phone will feature an L-shaped camera module on the rear, unlike its Russian counterpart with a diamond-shaped module. Let’s take a look at the specifications and features of the Vivo V17.

Vivo V17 Specifications and Features

The Vivo V17 sports a 6.44 FHD punch-hole display, unlike the waterdrop notch to give a premium look and feel. For biometric authentication, the phone does feature an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor coupled with 8GB RAM. On the storage front, the phone ships with 128GB inbuilt memory with an expandable memory option of up to 256GB using an external memory card.

In the camera department, the Vivo V17 will come with an L-shaped camera module on the rear, unlike the Diamond-shaped camera module, as seen in the Russian variant. The quad-camera configuration on the rear includes three sensors that are stacked vertically, one below the another, and the fourth sensor sits on the left, having an LED flash above it. The camera set up includes a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, and two 2MP sensors. For selfies, the Vivo V17 houses a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The phone draws its power from the massive 4500mAh battery coupled with 18W fast-charging support.
