Vivo has officially launched a new mid-range smartphone dubbed the Vivo U3 in China. The smartphone resembles closely to the Vivo U3x in terms of design but ships with a better upgrade in specs as compared to the Vivo U3x (a rebranded variant of the Vivo U10 that was recently launched in India). The phone is available in three colour variants, Agate Black, Spar Blue, and Jade Porcelain Green. The phone is available in two RAM variants, i.e., 4GB and 6GB. Specifications and Features of the Vivo U3

The newly launched Vivo U3 sports a 6.53-inch display offering a full HD resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display features a water-drop notch housing the front camera. The handset is available in two RAM variants, i.e., 4GB and 6GB. In terms of storage, the Vivo U3 comes with 64GB onboard internal storage. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC powers the smartphone. The phone also features a fingerprint sensor for Biometric authentication.

In terms of optics, the Vivo U3 features a triple rear camera setup on the rear featuring a 16MP primary sensor, 8MP wide-angle sensor, and 2MP macro lens. On the front, the handset has a 16MP selfie camera that promises decent selfies. The phone also has Multi-turbo and Game space for optimised gaming performance. It also supports the Vivo’s Ai-based digital assistant, Jovi. In the software department, the Vivo U3 runs Android Pie with Funtouch OS on top. The phone is powered by a massive 5000mAh battery and comes with 18W fast charging support out of the box.

Pricing and Availability

The Vivo U3 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration costs CNY 999 (approx Rs 10,020), whereas its high-end variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage option is priced at CNY 1,199 (approx. Rs 12,030). The smartphone would be available for pre-orders in China via the company’s official site starting from October 21 and will go on sale from November 1.
