Vivo U10 with Big Battery, Fast Charging to Soon Launch in India as Amazon Exclusive

Vivo is gearing up to launch a new U-series smartphone dubbed “Vivo U10” in India as Amazon exclusive and would also be available for purchase on its own online store. The details regarding the same are revealed by Nipun Marya, Brand Strategy Director at Vivo India to 91 mobiles. Amazon has also teased a dedicated landing page for Vivo U10. The e-commerce giant did not reveal any specifications of the upcoming device.

 As per the banner on Amazon, U in the U-series stands for Unstoppable. The new forthcoming U-series would carry Unstoppable branding and sports large-sized batteries. It also claims that the upcoming Vivo U10 Smartphone gives you long-lasting performance with minutes of charging.  According to the report, the U-series smartphones would be youth-centric and comes with fast-charging technology. The retail package is also said to include a fast charger.

The Vivo U10 would ship with a robust processor that accounts for Unstoppable performance and allows hassle-free multi-tasking. According to the report, the upcoming Vivo U10 price in India would be under Rs 12,000 and would be released by the end of September. There is also a “Notify Me” option available on Amazon so that you can get all the latest updates about the smartphone.

Indian Smartphone Market Share: Counterpoint

Vivo has been working to capture a major chunk of online and offline market space. According to Counterpoint, Vivo India stands in the third position in the Indian market behind Xiaomi and Samsung. Xiaomi is the market leader with a 28 percent market share, followed closely by Samsung with 25 percent. Vivo is currently in the third position with 11 percent market share and is looking to up the ante to beat Samsung.

Recently, Vivo India has launched new Z-series smartphones dubbed Vivo Z1 Pro and Vivo Z1X which are priced between Rs 15,000-Rs 20,000. To capture the offline market, the company has launched S-series in the same price range as the Z-series.
