Vivo S6

Vivo S6 is the upcoming smartphone from the Chinese brand Vivo. The device has finally a launch date for the Chinese market. Vivo just announced on its official Weibo account that the Vivo S6 5G will debut in China on March 31. It will be the last 5G smartphone launching in China in the month of March 2020. The other 5G smartphones include Honor 30S (march 30), and Redmi K30 Pro (March 24). The brand announced that the device will be incredibly light in weight.

Earlier leaks points to a dual punch hole cameras on the Vivo S6. Popular tipster from China leaked the real image of a device showing the dual punch hole display, which we expect it to be the Vivo S6. Other rumors suggest that the smartphone will be powered by the Samsung’s Exynos 980 5G chipset which is also present in the Vivo X30 and X30 Pro. The chipset also offer dual mode 5G connectivity just like the Snapdragon 865 processor.

In another Weibo post, Vivo released the bottom edge of the Vivo S6, where we could see the speaker grill, SIM card slot, USB -C port. Surprisingly, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack or that might be there on the top side of the handset.

The Vivo S6 5G succeeds the Vivo S5 that was launched in 2019. As for the pricing, S-series is the mid-range segment; so we expect Vivo S6 to also be placed in that category. If that is true, we expect the price to be somewhere between CNY 2000 to CNY 2500 (Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 in India)
