Vivo had launched the NEX 3 and NEX 3 5G smartphones in China in September 2019. The smartphones are equipped with Snapdragon 855 Plus processor 4500mAh battery and 44W fast charging features. Now, it looks like Vivo is launching a new variant of the NEX 3 loaded with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 processor. The confirmation comes from the listing spotted in TENAA certification website.
A new Vivo smartphone bearing the model number 1950A was spotted recently on TENAA and 3C with key specifications and images. The model was initially thought to be the new iQOO 3 smartphone, but as the TENAA listing got updated today with images and full specs, we got the confirmation that the device is none other than the Vivo NEX 3 Snapdragon 865 variant.
As per TENAA, the Vivo 1950A model comes with a CPU that is clocked at 2.84GHz (which could very well be the Snapdragon 865 SoC) and support 5G network. Just like the previous generation NEX 3, the new NEX 3 also comes with a 6.89-inch AMOLED display and has a resolution of 1080 × 2256. The device measures 67.44 × 76.14 × 9.4mm in size and weighs 219.5 grams. On the rear, there is a triple camera setup arranged circularly and comprises 64MP + 13MP + 13MP cameras. There is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front. The device runs Android 10 out of the box and will be available in 8GB RAM + 128GB or 256GB storage options. The images revealed the red color variant of the NEX 3 and there seems to be no alteration in design from the previous generation.
The popular tipster from China, Digital Chat Station made it clear the model 1950A is the Snapdragon 865 version of the NEX 3 and will launch soon.
