India’s leading DTH operator Tata Sky launched new Metro HD (High Definition) packs for the South region. The newly launched Metro Packs include only HD packs as SD packs are already launched in July. The packs comprise Kannada Metro HD for Rs 45.25, Malayalam Metro HD for Rs 54.40, Tamil Metro HD for Rs 55.87 and Telugu Metro HD for Rs 46.02. The new packs are already available on the official website, and the subscribers who want to purchase the packs can do so by visiting the official Tata Sky website. Tata Sky Discontinues Regional Lite Packs
Tata Sky has discontinued all the regional Lite packs, Hindi Lite, and Hindi starter pack effective from 21-8-2019. The regional Lite packs that were discontinued include Telugu Lite, Tamil Lite, Kannada Lite, Odia Lite, Odia Lite HD, Hindi Lite, Hindi Lite HD, Gujarati Lite, Gujarati Lite HD and Bengal Lite. The DTH service provider has now launched new Metro packs for users in the South region. The current subscribers would enjoy Lite packs unless and until they remove them from their account. Once the Lite pack is removed from the account, you won’t be able to add it again.
About Tata Sky Lite Packs
To recall, Tata Sky has launched four regional Lite packs, Telugu Lite, Tamil Lite, Kannada Lite, and Bengal Lite in April 2019 which are priced at Rs 46. However, the total cost of the pack is Rs 199, including NFC pack charge and taxes. While the Telugu Lite pack offered 17 channels, the Tamil Lite pack offered ten channels. On similar lines, the Kannada Lite pack bundled with 21 channels and Bengali Lite pack provided eight channels to the subscribers.
Tata Sky has been in the mix of things for quite some time now and showering the consumers with new packs and offers. Although Dish TV is the leading DTH provider in India, Tata Sky is not far behind and is looking to gain a major share in the industry. The DTH service provider is well-known for offering consumers a broad range of choices when it comes to offering exciting services coupled with attractive prices and offers. However, it is not going to be easy for Tata Sky as Reliance Jio and Airtel are vying to capture a significant chunk of the DTH market share.
