After weeks of anticipation, the Samsung Galaxy M40 was launched in India last week. Within just a week’s time of sales, the phone is receiving its first software update already. Notably, the device went on sale alongside this announcement.
Hence, the users will experience this refurbishment as soon as they set up their new smartphones.
The update ideally includes the May Android Security patch and a few other bug fixes and improvements. The update will be 152.36MB in size and will carry the version number M405DDU1ASF2/ M405FODM1ASF4/ M405FDDU1ASEB.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 over-the-air (OTA) update is expected to be released in batches. Consequently, it will take some days for all devices to receive this update. For anyone interested in checking the update manually, follow these two steps: (go to) Settings > Software updates.
As for the price of the product, the device offers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space for just Rs. 19,990. The option of storage expansion of up to 512GB is also available to the customers as the phone includes a microSD card slot.
Furthermore, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC and sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with a 3,500mAh battery.
Last but not the least, the gadget packs a 32M primary camera with an f/1.7 lens, a 5MP secondary depth sensor, and an 8MP camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens. As for the selfie lovers, it sports a 16MP front camera as well.
