Samsung finally launches Galaxy M40 in India with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and screen sound technology

After making us wait for months, Samsung has finally launched its mid-range Galaxy M40 in India. The new device has been listed to the company’s latest M-lineup, which has become one of the most popular series in the mid-range segment. Some of the key highlights of the smartphone include a massive RAM capacity of 6GB along with enormous internal storage of 128GB. Moreover, Samsung M40 is the first in its segment that features a ‘screen sound’ technology, which makes the display panel enabled for producing audio vibrations even without a dedicated earpiece.

The latest Samsung Galaxy M40 carries a price tag of Rs 19,990, which is sure to make the competition tougher for Xiaomi, Realme, HMD Global and any other companies that primarily manufacture smartphones under the Rs 20,000 price segment. Moreover, as a part of the launch offers, Samsung has included double data benefits for Reliance Jio users. The offer is applicable on Rs 198 and Rs 299 prepaid plans. The Jio subscribers will receive Rs 3,110 savings over 10 recharges on recharging with Rs 198.

On the other hand, Idea and Vodafone customers will receive Rs 3,750 cashback on recharging with Rs 255. The cashback will be given to the customers through Rs 75 recharge vouchers for up to Rs 50 recharges. In addition to that, customers are eligible to receive additional 0.5GB data per day for up to eighteen months. Airtel customers who buy the Samsung Galaxy M40 will receive 100 percent additional data for 10 months.

As for the availability, Galaxy M40 is likely to go on sale starting 12 PM (noon) on June 18, 2019. Initially, the online sales partner includes and Samsung Online Shop. The smartphone ships in two color variants namely Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue.

Samsung M40 Specifications

The Samsung M40 features a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a Corning Gorilla Glass class 3 protection. The bezel-less display has a screen-to-body ratio of 19.5:9. Powered by Android v9.0 (Pie), it has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor along with 6GB of RAM and an Adreno 612 GPU. It houses an internal storage of 128GB, which supports an expansion of up to 512GB.

Samsung Galaxy M40 carries an impressive set of a camera with a 32MP main lens, which is coupled to an 8MP secondary sensor and a 5MP depth sensing lens. It is stacked with a 16MP ultra-wide-angle front camera, which features Super slo-mo video recording and hyperlapse. In the connectivity department, it features 4G VoLTE network support, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth, Mobile Hotspot, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC, and many more features.

The smartphone runs on the basis of 3500mAh Li-Polymer battery, in addition to which it also gets a fast charging technology, which is claimed to deliver three times faster-charging experience than normal devices.
