Xiaomi’s spin-off brand Redmi had launched the Redmi Note 8 in the China market in August along with the Redmi Note 8 Pro. After two months of launch, Redmi has introduced a new color to the device, bringing the total number of colors to four. The new color which is called Nebula Purple is the latest addition to the Redmi Note 8. The other color options include Deep Blue, Meteorite Black, and Moon Light White. The company through its official Weibo account announced that the device will be available on sale starting November 18 in China. The Nebula Purple color option will be available in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB variants.
The Redmi Note 8 sports a Snapdragon 665 chipset coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The main USP of the device is its quad-camera setup which comprises a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor, 2MP depth sensor, 8MP Ultra Wide lens (120-degree coverage), and lastly a 2MP Macro lens. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie shooter.
The Redmi Note flaunts a 6.39-inch LCD display having a screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The device offers a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and screen is certified by Rheinland Low Blu-ray. Hence the screens of the device ensure it will filter harmful blue rays from reaching your eye.
The Redmi Note 8 is powered by a massive 4000mAh battery that offers support for 18W fast charging technology. The device runs Android 9-based MIUI 10 out of the box, but the users are now receiving the MIUI 11 update in India and China.
As said, the Redmi Note 8 Nebula Purple variant will go on sale starting November 18 in China. The smartphone will be available for purchase on Mi.com, JD, TMall, and Suning, etc.
