The Redmi Note 7 Pro is now receiving its first ever MIUI 10 stable update via OTA since its launch in India. The update with V10.2.8.0.PFHINXM brings a host of improvements to the camera, optimizations, and March security patch. The Recovery ROM and Fastboot ROM links for the same can be found on Xiaomi’s official community which can be accessed to download the update manually.

If we elaborate on the changelog shared by Xiaomi, the improvements and optimizations come in three areas: Camera, Display and Security. The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 48MP camera which can click pictures in 12MP and 48MP modes. The latest update brings improvement in sharpness in both 12MP and 48MP camera modes. The portrait mode underexposure issue, low light details visibility & image brightness and indoor AWB are also improved with this latest update.
With regards to the display, issues with screen brightness and lightening up of screen using gestures and issues with call-time bubble overlapping issue with notification icons are fixed.
The changelog also mentions that the Redmi Note 7 Pro gets March Android security patch for improved system security.
To recall, the Redmi Note 7 Pro was launched in India on February 28 via Flipkart. The price in India is set at Rs.13,990 for the 4GB RAM variant and Rs.16,990 for the 6GB RAM variant. Equipped with Snapdragon 675 SoC, the Note 7 Pro is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that support18W charging. In the camera department, the phone has a 48MP primary camera featuring a Sony IMX586 sensor. It also has a 13MP selfie shooter on a 6.3-inch display with a dewdrop notch.
