Redmi K30 is the upcoming flagship from Redmi and succeeds the Redmi K20 that was launched earlier this year. The smartphone is touted to be the first in the Redmi series to support 5G connectivity. In the latest news, Lu Weibing, the General Manager of Redmi at Redmi 8 conference, revealed that the upcoming Redmi K30 would support SA (autonomous)/ NSA (non-autonomous) dual-mode 5G. Also, he mentioned that the smartphone would sport a dual punch-hole display featuring a dual-camera setup. Earlier Lu Weibing teased that the Redmi K30 would have 5G support through a Weibo post.
Not long ago, Qualcomm has announced that it will begin to sample the 7 Series SoC Snapdragon 7250 that supports dual-mode 5G in the second quarter of 2019. If we correlate Lu Weibing’s statement with that of Qualcomm, it is evident that the new Redmi K30 would likely sport the Snapdragon 7 series 5G platform with support for SA/NSA dual-mode 5G.
Purported Specifications and Features of the Redmi K30
The Redmi K30 smartphone is likely to be launched in the first half of 2020. As for the specifications, the smartphone is likely to arrive with gradient finish, and retain the pop-up selfie camera design.
