After spinning-off from Xiaomi, Redmi in full swing in launching new smartphones with the latest technologies. Its popular lineup K20 series debuted earlier this year in several markets including China and India. Now, after several rumors rolling out in social media, Redmi has put an end to by announcing the launch date of the much-anticipated Redmi K30 series for the Chinese market. Lu Weibing, General Manager of Redmi took to his official Weibo account to reveal that the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Pro will launch in China on December 10. This date is in line with the official news that the K30 lineup will launch in December. Let’s take a look at what the Weibo post has to say:
Redmi K30 will Sport Dual Mode 5G
Redmi K30 series will be the company’s first smartphone and will support both 5G Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) networks or simply dual-mode 5G. The poster also reveals half of the front side, where we can see the dual punch-hole cameras to the right top end corner of the device.
Earlier reports suggest that at least the vanilla K30 will be equipped with Snapdragon 700 series chipset, which is the mid-range SoC being developed by Qualcomm. As per the 3C certification, the Redmi K30 will offer support for the 30W fast charging feature. Concrete evidence regarding the specifications and features of the K30 series are scarce at the moment. Let’s wait for the company to announce more specs before the launch date arrives.
