Redmi is late this time in launching its flagship smartphone and lost to Realme and iQOO in both India and China. Lu Weibing, President and General Manger of Redmi, today for the first time confirmed that the Redmi K30 Pro will sport the Snapdragon 865 chipset. Lu Weibing also shared the release timeline of the smartphone and pointed out that the launch date of the Redmi K30 Pro will be in between launches of Huawei P40 and Honor 30 series.
Previously, Huawei’s consumer business CEO Yu Chengdong said in an interview that the Huawei P40 series will be released in Paris, France in March. Popular leakster Evan Blass earlier reported that the Huawei P40 series will indeed launch on March 26. The Honor 20 series was launched in May last year in China and we can expect the Honor 30 series to debut during the same month this year. So, it looks like the Redmi K30 Pro will launch sometime in April 2020.
The Redmi K30 Pro was spotted in a few certifications and benchmarking platform and we could know the key specifications ahead of the launch. The Geekbench listing suggests that the handset will arrive with the Snapdragon 865 processor, 12GB RAM and Android 10 out of the box. It was also revealed on 3C that the Redmi K30 Pro 5G will sport 33W fast charging technology.
