Redmi is prepping up to launch the K30 series (Redmi K30 and K30 Pro) in China on December 10. The Redmi K30 series will be the company’s first 5G smartphones and will also come in 4G-only models. Ahead of the official launch in China, the Redmi K30 4G smartphone with model number M1912G7BI has been spotted in BIS, hinting at the smartphone launch in the Indian market as well. BIS, which is abbreviated as Bureau of Indian Standards is a certification agency whose main function is to formulate and certify the products as per the Indian standards. Any smartphone, before launching in India has to undergo vigorous testing in the BIS agency. Today, we spotted a new Xiaomi mobile with model number M1912G7BI, where M1912G7B corresponds to the Redmi K30 4G model and the last letter I correspond to India.
In another news, Redmi officially announced a new color variant of the Redmi K30, which appears to be the new platinum white color. The invitation letter of the Redmi K30 series launch event is also posted on Weibo by CEO Lu Weibing
The Redmi K30 4G was initially spotted on the TENAA website with renders and specifications. According to TENAA, the Redmi K30 4G comes with a 6.67 inches display and a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The device is equipped with a 2.2GHz processor, which probably could be the Snapdragon 765 processor. The Redmi K30 4G will be offered in 64GB, 128GBG and 256GB storage options that are paired with 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM. TENAA listing suggests there will be a triple camera setup comprising of 64MP + 8MP + 2MP, but the renders on TENAA reveals a quad-camera setup. On the front, there is an 8MP camera as per the TENAA listing.
