Xiaomi’s spin-off brand Redmi is teasing the launch of Redmi K20 and K20 Pro for the Indian market. The smartphones were launched in China last month and are well received by the Chinese fans. Redmi today teased the performance of the K20’s Snapdragon 730 processor and compared it with Snapdragon 675 and 710 chipsets. The Redmi K20 along with the Pro variant is expected to launch in India in mid-July. The Redmi K20 is the premium mid-range device, while the K20 Pro is the low-cost flagship device. Both the smartphones feature a 6.39 inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, triple camera setup and 4000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.
According to the tweet by Redmi India, the Snapdragon 730 chipset present in the K20 smartphone outperforms both SD675 and SD710 SoCs in terms of performance. The company claims that the new SD730 SoC is 40% faster than the SD710 SoC that is present in the Realme 3 Pro and Realme X. With a performance score of 218,625 on AnTuTu, the Snapdragon 730 chipset of the Redmi K20 surpasses the Snapdragon 675 SoC (AnTuTu score: 180,808) of the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Snapdragon 710 SoC (AnTuTu score: 155,215) of the Realme 3 Pro. The tweet also mentioned that the K20 series would soon launch in India. Earlier reports indicate that the phones could launch on July 15 or 17 in India.
The Redmi K20 is expected to be priced under Rs 20,000 in India and would be exclusively available on Flipkart.
