Xiaomi has announced the Redmi K20 in China. Unlike in India, the Redmi K20 has been renamed as the Xiaomi Mi 9T in all other global markets. The same is expected to arrive in India around mid-July.
The director of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain, tweeted that he will be revealing “something very special” and “really out of the world” to all Mi fans. He had previously said that he’d be seeing us at the launch of the Redmi K20 Pro. Hence it is expected that the Mi team will announce the launch date tomorrow.
Speculations also suggest that the phone could be unveiled along with its pricing and features, though the sales would not hit off until mid-July. Fans are not expecting anything huge or out of the blue as the smartphone has already been launched in China. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 855 chipset, has an elevating camera and packs three sensors on its back.
Furthermore, the device has another model with almost all features, but is powered by the Snapdragon 730 chipset and lacks the 27W fast-charging, but has18W fast-charging support.
