Finally, the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro gets a launch date in India. The most-awaited Redmi K20 series will be launched in the country on July 17.
The news is finally made official. Hence, the Redmi K20 series will be launched on July 17 which is two days after the launch of the Realme X in India. Moreover, the Redmi K20 is going to be the first smartphone to come with Snapdragon 730 processor, while the Redmi K20 Pro will be the cheapest Snapdragon 855 chip-powered phone. However, this will be the case until Poco F2 is launched.
The intent of Xiaomi is to take over the likes of the existing flagship smartphones such as the OnePlus 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S10 series and more. The price in India of the smartphone is expected to be similar to that of China. Therefore, the Redmi K20 could have a range of Rs 18,000 – Rs 20,000 in India.
Also, this price will take up the attention of the buyers from the Realme X which is going to be launched on July 15. The Realme X will be priced around Rs 18,000 in India. On the other hand, the Redmi K20 Pro will be priced around 25,000. Hence, the Redmi K20 Pro is said to be the cheapest Snapdragon 855 processor smartphone available yet.
Moreover, it is also expected that Xiaomi will modify the Indian versions of the Redmi K20 series as was done with the Redmi 7A. However, the Indian variant is surely different from the Chinese variant. No confirmation is yet given about the specifications and price of the two devices.
Both the Redmi K20 phones will come with the triple rear camera setup, gradient design, pop-up selfie camera, 4000mAh battery, AMOLED display, glass body, and more.
Additionally, Xiaomi had recently introduced the successor of the Redmi 6A in the Indian market. Xiaomi launched the Redmi 7A. It is priced at Rs 5,999 for the base 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage variant. Also, the 2GB RAM + 32GN internal storage variant is available for Rs 6,199. Adding up, the Redmi 7A goes on sale on July 11.
