Redmi 8A Now Available in Offline Stores For the Same Online Price Until Diwali

Xiaomi’s spin-off brand Redmi has recently launched the budget-centric smartphone, the Redmi 8A which is the successor to the Redmi 7A. Now in the latest news, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 8A in offline stores across India. What’s more! The device is available for the same price in India as the online stores until Diwali. The Redmi 8A is available in two configurations in the country. The base variant of the Redmi 8A with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage is available for Rs 6,499. It’s higher variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs 6,999. The device is available for online purchase via and Flipkart. However, after Diwali, the prices of both variants would be increased by Rs 300 in the offline market. 

The Redmi 8A is available in three colour options, such as Midnight Black, Ocean Blue, and Sunset Red. The handset is a good option for those looking to purchase a cheaper smartphone with all features. The exciting feature of the smartphone is its massive 5000mAh battery, which is a bit rare when you consider the sub Rs 7,000 price segment. Given the specifications and price range, the Redmi 8A takes on the likes of Samsung Galaxy M10 and Realme C2 in India.

Specifications and Features of the Redmi 8A

The Redmi 8A sports a 6.22-inch HD+’ Dot Notch’ display and includes a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front for scratch resistance. The phone comes with an Aura wave grip design, and as a result, it does not easily slip off from the user’s hands. Apart from this, it also offers a complete resistance from fingerprint marks. Similar to other Redmi phones, the Redmi 8A comes with P2i coating, thereby making it splashproof. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Further, it has a dedicated microSD card slot which offers an expandable memory option of up to 512GB.

For photography, the Redmi 8A features a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor with AI integration on the rear for enhanced images. There is also an 8MP selfie camera on the front. For security purposes, the phone has an AI face unlock, but it does not feature any fingerprint sensor. The notable feature of the Redmi 8A is its whopping 5000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. The device features a Type-C port for charging as well as data transfer.
