Xiaomi’s independent brand Redmi is working on a flagship smartphone that will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor. Few features of the phone have been confirmed by the company already. The real-life images of the phone had leaked on Weibo earlier revealing its design and key features. Now, in the latest shot clicked by a netizen, Xaiomi group vice president and Redmi general manager Lu Weibing spotted holding the Redmi 855 flagship smartphone in his hand.
Based on the spy shot, we could confirm that the Redmi 855 phone adopts a full-screen design without any notch. Also, the body to screen ratio is significantly improved compared to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, giving users a full-screen experience.
In the previous leak when Wang Xiaobo, the product director of Xiaomi exposed the Redmi 855 phone, we could see that the phone retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, has a pop-up selfie camera.
Xiaomi officially confirmed that Redmi 855 phone is Xiaomi’s first flagship phone to have NFC support. The phone will also support wireless charging feature, though exact charging capacity is not revealed yet. The phone will also have very thin bezels compared to any of the previous Redmi phones.
