Redmi 7A will be the successor of the Redmi 6A in India. Recently, the launch of the Redmi 7A was unveiled as a part of a live product presentation on YouTube. The presentation conducted by Xiaomi India Chief, Manu Kumar Jain started with the talk about the company’s first five years in the country. Also, he added that the company was able to sell 23.6 million Redmi 4A, Redmi 5A, and Redmi 6A units until April this year. In addition, the three phones have not only been popular in India but also globally.
After this, Anuj Sharma was invited to introduce the Redmi 7A. He revealed that the smartphone will be available in three colors – Matte Blue, Matte Gold, and Matte Black. Moreover, the device will sport a 5.45-inch screen HD+ display and is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, clocked at 2GHz.
Specifications of the Redmi 7A:
The Indian variant comes with a 12-megapixel primary shooter with SonyIMX486 sensor. The device will also be getting the AI Scene Detection feature in the coming weeks. Moreover, the phone packs a 4,000mAh battery which will provide 30 hours of VoLTE calling. Also, the two variants of the phone will be – 2GB + 16GB and 2GB + 32GB. Both of the variants will come with a microSD card slot.
The smartphone sports a splash-proof design and will come with wireless FM Radio support. Notably, the device packs reinforced corners to provide added durability. Additionally, the Redmi 7A features AI face unlock.
The price will be Rs 5,999 for the base 2GB + 16GB variant and Rs 6,199 for the 2GB + 32GB variant. Two years of warranty is also offered with the phone. The phone will be offered from July 11 via Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
