Realme already confirmed that it would launch its flagship smartphone at the MWC 2020 event. Today, Realme Global Marketing President Xu Qi Chase took to Weibo to officially announce that the Realme X5 Pro 5G is its first 5G flagship device and will launch on February 24 in Barcelona. We Indiashopps were first to reveal the Realme X50 Pro 5G moniker and about its tentative launch details back in December 2019 through an exclusive post. We also reported that the device will sport the Snapdragon 865 SoC, which was later confirmed by the company.
Realme X50 Pro 5G to Sport Dual Punch-hole Display:
The Realme X50 Pro 5G, just like the Realme X50, will arrive with dual punch-hole display and with the same left corner placement. The company also revealed that there would be several surprises along with the X50 Pro launch at the event. We expect the Realme X50 Pro to sport a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display. This would be a significant improvement from the 90Hz LCD display on the Realme X50.
The company recently confirmed a few of the specifications of the X50 Pro 5G by releasing the ‘About Phone’ pic on Weibo. According to it, the Realme X50 Pro 5G sports the Snapdragon 865 processor and has a model number RMX2071. The device has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone will run Android 10-based Realme UI V1.0 out of the box.
Along with the launch of the Realme X50 Pro 5G, we also expect the company to launch its first smart TV at the MWC 2020 event. The Realme X50 Pro will compete with the Redmi K30 Pro, and ZTE Axon 10s in some markets.
