Realme is one of the first few brands to announce its 5G smartphone Realme X50. The device is expected to make its debut in December at least in the Chinese market. The company released a teaser poster revealing the dual punch-hole display just like the Redmi K30 series. The Realme X50 will sport dual-mode 5G, which means the smartphone is capable of supporting both SA (Standalone mode) and NSA (non-standalone) network modes. Today, the company through its Weibo account revealed an important specification of the Realme X50. According to the official Weibo post, the Realme X50 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 765G.

The Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset was announced earlier this month at the Qualcomm Tech Summit. The Snapdragon 765G is based on a 7nm process and offers better gaming performance compared to its sibling Snapdragon 765. The chipset has an integrated X52 5G modem that promises a download speed of 3.7Gbps and an upload speed of 1.6Gbps.

The Realme X50, based on the earlier reports, is expected to sport a 6.44-inch AMOLED display that has a dual punch-holes on the top left corner. Just like the Realme X2 Pro, the X50 will also flaunt a 90Hz fluid display. The primary camera will equip the latest 60MP Sony IMX686 image sensor, which is also confirmed to be present in the Redmi K30 series. On the front, there will be a 32MP + 8MP dual cameras inside the punch-holes. Lastly, the Realme X50 will be fuelled by a 4500mAh battery and supported by a VOOC 4.0 fast charge and wireless charging technology.

Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth, during the Realme X2 Pro launch event, reported that the first Realme 5G device will launch in India in 2020. As 5G adoption in India might begin in late 2020, we expect the smartphone to launch as per the 5G rollout schedule.

Alongside the Realme X50, the company is also expected to launch the Realme X50 Lite (Youth Edition) with the Mediatek 5G processor.
