Earlier this month, the Realme X has been launched in China that comes with a bezel-less and notch-less screen. Since its launch, it has attained massive craze in India for its unique design and features in comparatively less budget. The device was said to release in the country this month itself as confirmed by the company’s India CEO Madhav Sheth. On questioning about the launch of the Realme X in India, CEO Madhav Sheth has responded via Twitter that the device shall be released around the second half of the year.
In the Tweet, Sheth has said that “We shall try to bring it earlier, but with all our effort, we think we shall be only able to bring around second half of the year.” Although following the launch of the Realme X in China, he himself confirmed that the smartphone will make its way very soon in India. With the latest Tweet, it is unlikely to believe that the word ‘soon’ literally means it. Further, it has also been confirmed that the device will be available in Naoto Fukasawa collection of the handset with Onion and Garlic finish alongside a special colour variant that will only be available in India. In terms of pricing, he stated that the Indian variant will be fixed at Rs.18,000 approx.
In terms of specification, the Realme X is slightly different from the Chinese variants, except for the colour option, which remains the same. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, Indian will receive a special colour variant of this device.
Realme X flaunts a beautiful design having a panorama view with a pop-up selfie camera placed at the middle of the top. The AMOLED display stands 6.53-inch tall that supports a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels with a stylish aspect ratio of 19.5:9. There are an in-display fingerprint scanner and a Corning Gorilla Glass v5 that protects the smartphone and the front fascia, respectively. The internal hardware comprises of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chip with a 2GHz octa-core processor, which is paired with a 6GB RAM. It houses internal storage of 128GB and boots on Android 9 Pie OS customized with ColorOS 6.0. Further, it packs a 3,765mAh battery, which is paired with a VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.
In the optics department, the Realme X has a dual primary camera unit, which comprises of a 48MP main sensor having f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP of depth sensing lens with f/2.4 aperture. The motorized pop-up selfie camera houses a 16MP lens with f/2.0 aperture. Besides, connectivity of the device includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, etc.
