At the end of a long-term wait, Realme X has been finally launched in the Indian market. The mid-range smartphone is the company’s first to feature a pop-up selfie camera and an all-display design. Among the highlights, it has 19.5:9 display panel that bears an under-screen fingerprint scanner and worth to be mentioned, it is operated by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. The company also brings a special edition of Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is likely to be available in early August.
The launch event was held in New Delhi, where Madhav Sheth, Realme CEO India announced that the company has now reached 900,000 active users in the country alone. Additionally, the company has also announced 360-degree Real Service, which is a doorstep repairing option. It will be operated in six cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The company has also claimed that with this service, repairing will reach the doorstep within “flat 30 minutes.”
Realme X is available in two variants namely 4GB RAM and 8GB RAM with the same storage capacity of 128GB. The price for the low RAM variants is decided at Rs 16,999 and for the other variant, it is set at Rs 19,999. The company brings Space Blue and Polar White colour options for the country. Both the models will be available for sale via Flipkart from July 24, 12 PM onwards. Furthermore, Realme will also provide a “Hate-to-Wait” sale on July 18 at 8 PM. Other than this online platform, it will also be available through the retail stores soon.
For the launch offer on Realme X, a free Paytm First membership worth Rs 750 can be availed on purchasing the device via the company’s online store in India. For the Flipkart buyers, SBI credit card users can get 10 percent instant discount.
For the special Spider-Man: Far From Home edition, which has been announced last month, the price is set at Rs 20,999 and it brings a single 8GB RAM variant with 128GB storage. Additionally, the company also brings Naoto Fukasawa collection of the device having Garlic and Onion finishes. It is offered in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option and priced at Rs 19,999. However, the Spider-Man edition along with Naoto Fukasawa collection will be available in early August.
With the mid-range tag, Realme is likely to win over the likes of its existing competitors like Vivo Z1 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy M40. It can also steal away the thrill of the upcoming Redmi K20 smartphone.
Coming to the specification of Realme X, the smartphone features a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel along with a Gorilla Glass 5 protection. As mentioned before, It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and aided by an Adreno 616 GPU and up to 8GB RAM. For photography, Realme X brings a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 rear camera along with a 5MP sensor. The selfie pop-up camera houses 16-megapixel Sony IMX 471 sensor. The device packs a 3765mAh battery along with VOOC Flash Charge 3.0.
