Realme teased a new phone in China yesterday that sports a full-screen design, popup selfie camera. The phone is launching in China as Realme’s first popup-selfie camera phone. The phone bearing model number RMX 1901 was first spotted on TENAA where few specifications and images were revealed. Now, through Realme’s official Weibo account, the company gave us the first hint that the phone will be called Realme X. Xu Qi Chase, Realme’s Cheif Marketing Officer (CMO), posted on Weibo saying “Find Highlights” through the upcoming Realme X phone which clearly tells us Realme X is the upcoming popup camera phone.
Realme X: What We Know So Far
In the official teaser shared by Realme on Weibo, the company showcased a phone featuring a selfie popup camera and full-screen design. The phone has a dual camera setup and contains no fingerprint sensor in the rear, meaning that the phone could carry an in-display fingerprint sensor. Though camera specifications are not known at the moment, we expect a 32MP sensor inside the popup selfie camera just like the OPPO F11 Pro and Vivo V15 Pro.
The device features a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the top and volume and power buttons are placed on the side. The display is of 6.5 inches full HD display with very thin bezels. The battery capacity is of 3640 mAh and we expect it to support VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology just like the Realme 3 Pro.
Though official launch details are not known at the moment, we expect the phone to be launched in May.
