Realme, the tech-lifestyle brand in India is trying to spread its wings into the lifestyle category by launching smart wearable devices. Realme has already announced that the company will launch several products in the tech-lifestyle category in 2020. Realme is trying to break the notion of just being a smartphone brand by launching Apple AirPods competitor called Realme Buds Air Bluetooth headset for just Rs 3,999. Now, we have spotted a new product in the BIS certification website that really excites the Realme fans in India. Realme is prepping up to launch the smartwatch and the BIS certification of the same has been just cleared.
Ahead of the launch, any product has to get the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) clearance for the quality. Today, the Realme smartwatch with model number RMA183 got the BIS certification suggesting imminent launch in India. Once launched, the Realme smartwatch will take on the brands that include Xiaomi and Honor which have smartwatches in budget to mid-range prices. Features of the Realme smartwatch are not known currently, but we expect it to compete with the Mi Band 4 in terms of specifications and price.
Realme smartwatch is part of the IoT ecosystem that the company is targeting and planned for the year 2020. The company planned to focus on 4 core areas that include smartphones, software, IoT-based products and accessories. Apart from these, Realme also touched the Fintech area by launching a new digital product dubbed Realme Paysa. The app provides financial services like loans, insurance and financial tools needed for today’s users.
Realme’s product category portfolio as on today includes smartphones, wired headphones, bluetooth headphones, power banks, financial product – Paysa, and bags.
