Realme launches its budget smartphone 3i alongside Realme X; features 13MP rear camera and dewdrop display

Realme 3i has finally made its way to India today alongside Realme X and many accessories including back covers, USB ports and more. Unlike Realme X, which carries a mid-range price-tag, Realme 3i is launched at a much lesser price of the entry-level segment. The smartphone has been launched in two variants namely 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. Other notable features of the device include a whopping 4230mAh battery and a 13MP front snapper.

The Chinese maker Realme has also introduced several mobile accessories in India that include Realme C2 clear case worth Rs 149, a soft silicon case for Realme X worth Rs 399, Micro-USB cable priced at Rs 199, 10W wall charger worth Rs 499, VOOC 3.0 20W USB Type-C cable tagged with Rs 399, VOOC 20W Micro-USB cable worth Rs 299 and VOOC 3.0 20W wall charger priced Rs 999. All the accessories will be sold via Realme store, Flipkart, as well as offline retails.

Considering the price of Realme 3i, the lower RAM variant gets a tag of Rs 7,999 while the upper variant is decided at Rs 9,999. Realme has offered Diamond Blue, Diamond Black and Diamond Red colour options for India, all of which will be sold via country’s popular online store Flipkart. The device will also be available via Realme online store starting next week. The first sale of the smartphone is set at 12 PM on July 23.

Among the features, Realme 3i brings a 6.2-inch HD+ (720 x 1520 pixels) display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and claims to deliver 88.30 percent screen-to-body ratio. The dewdrop display comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass v3 protection. Under the hood, the smartphone packs a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset, which is paired with up to 4GB RAM. As stated earlier, the smartphone has been provided with up to 64GB internal storage, which also supports an expansion of up to 256GB via microSD card.

As for the optics, the rear camera comprises of a main 13MP lens with f/1.8 aperture alongside a 2MP secondary sensor. A 13MP lens is provided at the front for selfie pictures. While the paired primary camera supports Nightscape, Chroma Boost, Hybrid HDR and Portrait mode, the front camera supports AI Beautification, AI Facial unlock and HDR. In the connectivity department, the smartphone has Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi, Micro USB port, GPS/A-GPS, etc. It is operated by Android 9 Pie operating system along with ColorOS 6.0 customisation.

Realme 3i has been offered with extremely affordable budget, especially the lower variants. The device can be a great competitor to Redmi 7A, which also falls in the budget category.
