Realme 5 series

Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro are set to be unveiled on August 20 at 12.30 PM in India. With only a few days left for the launch event, specifications and features are being revealed in an incremental fashion. In the latest news, the Realme 5 is confirmed to sport a massive 5000mAh battery. The company has revealed the same through its official twitter handle.

The company’s CEO, Madhav Sheth has revealed additional details about the upcoming Realme 5 series. The price of the Realme 5 would be under Rs 10,000, thereby making it the first quad-camera smartphone to be available below 10k. Madhav Sheth also confirmed that the smartphone would come with a powerful Qualcomm chipset, touted to be its first-ever launch in India. If you recall, Mi A3 is the first Global smartphone to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. Hence, the Realme 5 would indeed house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. The company has already confirmed that the Realme 5 Pro would be the first quad-camera smartphone to flaunt a 48MP sensor.

The upcoming Realme 5 series phone would support VOOC 3.0 fast charging that charges the device up to 55 percent in 30 minutes. The Realme 5 is confirmed to sport 5000mAh battery, which would be sufficient enough to last for 2 days. It is a massive upgrade in the battery capacity when compared to the Realme 3 with a 4230mAh battery. For photography, the company has already confirmed that the Pro variant would ship with a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 4cm super macro lens, and a depth-sensing portrait lens.
