OPPO Reno Ace 2 is the upcoming 5G smartphone that is going to launch in China on April 13. The confirmation comes from OPPO Vice President Brian Shen who shared the launch date of the device on his official Weibo account. OPPO is yet to share the same on its official Weibo handles. Brian in his weibo post, did not include Reno in the name of the smartphone. He just mentioned OPPO Ace2 and the smartphone he used to post the info is also named OPPO Ace2 5G. All this could mean that OPPO might bring Ace as a new series independently. The OPPO Ace 2 comes with flagship specifications, as revealed on TENAA. Earlier, we were also able to spot the real-life image and press render of the Ace 2, which confirm us the design.
The OPPO Reno Ace 2 5G (or the Ace2 5G) comes with model number PDHM00 and the TENAA listing of it reveals full specifications and images. According to the certification, the Reno Ace 2 sports the Snapdragon 865 chipset which supports 5G via X55 modem. The device would be made available in two memory configurations: 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB. The handset is build around a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole camera and an in-display fingerprint sensor inside. It is the 16MP camera that fits inside the punch-hole screen. On the rear, there is a circular arrangement for the camera which comprises of 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP sensors.
The Ace2 5G will pack a dual battery and the rated capacity of each battery is 1,955 mAh. The device will support 65W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, which are another best features we are going to see in the device.
