OPPO is prepping up to launch the new Reno 3 series for the Chinese market. The wait is finally over and today OPPO officially announced that the Reno 3 series will launch on December 26 in China. The Reno 3 series includes Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro and both the models will equip dual-model 5G. The launch event will take place in Hangzhou International Expo Center. The OPPO Reno 3 Pro is officially confirmed to equip the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 765G processor which is clocked at 2.4GHz. The device will be 7.7mm thick, claiming it to be the world’s thinnest dual-mode 5G smartphone and weighs less than 180grams.
Earlier this week, two new model numbers belonging to OPPO were spotted on TENAA, revealing specifications and render of the device. Based on the stuff spotted in the listing, the device is said to be Reno 3 Pro. According to the TENAA listing, the Reno 3 Pro 5G will include a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) AMOLED display and has an aspect ratio of 20:9. There will be a 2.4GHz processor (Snapdragon 765G) paired with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. On the rear, there will be a quad-camera setup that is composed of 48MP + 13MP + 8MP + 2MP camera sensors. On the front, there will be a 32MP sensor. Finally, the listing reveals that the Reno 3 Pro 5G runs Android 10 OS.
Specifications of vanilla Reno 3 are not known currently, but it is expected to come with the Snapdragon processor. Both Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro will also launch in India, but the exact timeline is not known yet.
