The OPPO K5 was launched in China on October 10 alongside the Reno Ace. The smartphone packs a quad-camera setup at the rear, a waterdrop notch unlike its predecessor, the OPPO K3. The highlight features of the device include Snapdragon 730G, 64MP camera, and the 30W fast charging. The OPPO K5 with all these power-packed features and specs will soon launch in India. The device just appeared on BIS (Beaureo of Indian Standards) in India with the model number CPH1976. Alongside the OPPO K5, the other devices which also got certified on BIS include Vivo Y19 (Vivo 1915) and Meizu M10 (M918H). All the devices must pass through BIS before they get launched in India. As the OPPO K5 passes through BIS, launch in India should be closer which we expect to be in November.
OPPO K5 Specifications and Features:
The OPPO K5 comes with a huge upgrade both in terms of design and specifications. The device comes packed with a Snapdragon 730G SoC which is also speculated to feature in the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro. The smartphone has a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen that houses an in-display fingerprint sensor. In the front, there is a waterdrop notch with a 32MP selfie camera in it. On the rear side, there is a quad-camera setup which includes 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP sensors. The OPPO K5 comes with a 3920mAh battery which supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0.
The OPPO K5 is available in three memory options with a 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, which are priced at CNY 1,899 (approx. Rs 18,900), CNY 2,099 (approx. Rs 20,900), and CNY 2,499 (approx. Rs 24,900), and respectively in China.
Vivo Y19 and Meizu M10 Also Spotted on BIS
Alongside the OPPO K5, we have also spotted the Meizu M10 and the Vivo Y19 on the BIS certification website. The Vivo Y19 has been recently announced for Vietnam and is going to make its way to India soon. Full details of the device are currently not known.
The Meizu M10 comes with an Helio P25 SoC and a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display. The device is expected to be priced under Rs 10,000 in India.
