OPPO, the Chinese technology company today confirmed the existence of the successor to the Find X, i.e., the Find X2. OPPO Vice President Shen Yiren in reply to the Weibo users said that the Find X2 would not be released this year, but users have to wait for the next year as the company is constantly trying to improve the previous generation Find X to present a better flagship next year.
At the MWC 2019 Shangai event, OPPO will be showcasing its under-display camera technology. The tech allows the smartphone makers to eliminate the notch or motorized cameras. The technology also paves the way for the development of the Find X2 smartphone. According to the teaser video released by Shen Yiren, OPPO’s under-display camera is located in the upper part of the device’s screen, which is completely hidden when not in use and will be turned on when you switch on the selfie.
The OPPO Find X that was launched last year uses a curved panoramic screen having a screen ratio of 93.8%. Featuring a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and a 19.5:9 display aspect ratio, the Find X comes with no holes visible on the screen and has a unified body design. Find X2 is believed to bring many new features, including the under-screen camera.
