After experiencing tremendous success of the OnePlus 7 series, OnePlus is now prepping up to launch the OnePlus 8. OnePlus usually launches its devices in the Q2 of every year and this time, the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro has made its appearance in the Geekbench database too early. The design of the OnePlus 8 Pro was leaked earlier by the popular leakster OnLeaks, leaving nothing to the imagination. Let us take a look at what we have from the Geekbench listing.
The Geekbench listing reveals a new OnePlus device carrying the model number GAILEI IN2023. The specifications registered in the listing include 12GB RAM, Android 10, motherboard with codename Kona. Going by the 12GB RAM, we expect the device could be the Pro variant of the OnePlus 8 as the vanilla OnePlus 8 is expected to sport up to 8GB or RAM just like its predecessor OnePlus 7. The device recorded a single-core score of 4296 and a multi-core score of 12531 on Geekbench, suggesting the processor could be the Qualcomm’s latest and flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC.
The OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to sport a punch-hole display, tipped to feature 6.65-inch AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate. The design, which was leaked by OnLeaks courtesy of 91mobiles, suggest a curved display just like the OPPO Reno3 Pro. On the rear, there will be a vertically aligned camera module and will also feature a 3D ToF sensor. OnePlus will likely ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack on the OnePlus 8, which means you need to connect Type-C headphones for listening to music.
The OnePlus 8 series is expected to get launched in Q2 of 2020 which will include the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.
