OnePlus 7 has been on the limelight for quite some time and now it is provided with a teaser that hints the smartphone will offer ‘Fast and Smooth’ experience. While the teaser does not provide details of the features or specs, it has simply given enough clue to figure out that the next-gen OnePlus performance would not let the expectations of the users fail.
The OnePlus 7 teaser, which has been released on Twitter by the company’s CEO Pete Lau, provided a five seconds GIF playing the message ‘Fast and Sm…th’. He captioned the post with “Excited to share the next product from OnePlus will unleash a new era of Fast and Smooth. Especially Smooth! Smooth is more challenging than Fast – a true test of hardware and software.” The teaser video also reveals the glimpse of the curved display and the matte finish on the back panel. He further added, “The new product is just beautiful – I can’t wait for you to see it!” to his tweet.
As per the claim, OnePlus 7 is likely to come up with a beautiful design that would perfectly fit the premium list of smartphones. The focus on the word ‘smooth’ is quite generic and it can lead to multiple expectations like performance or the smooth handling experience. Although nothing is said regarding the specs of the smartphone, ‘a true test of hardware and software’ may indicate that the company will leave no stone unturned in providing the best out of its upcoming smartphone.
While consumers are eagerly waiting for the OnePlus 7, the rumour mill has been busy making its headline about the specs. Following all the rumours and hints, the device would feature Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, which would be a clear improvement over the 60Hz in the previous models. The screen skipped bezels and notch completely, which indicates it will either use an in-display selfie camera or a physical pop-up lens. If the company follows the latest trend, an in-display fingerprint can also be had.
Under the hood, it may bring Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor paired with 8GB RAM and Adreno 640 graphics. A 4,000mAh battery will power the device, further getting assisted by a Warp Charge 30W fast charging technology via a USB Type-C v3.1. The company is also rumoured to launch a 5G device this year, which may be one of the variants of the upcoming flagship series. In the optics department, the triple rear camera setup can be expected, which will include wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
According to the reports and the teaser that has been shared by the CEO himself, there is a possibility that the smartphone is going to be revealed very soon. One of the sources believes that OnePlus 7 will make its official appearance on May 14 in an event, along with OnePlus 7 Pro. However, the company did not share any exact launch date regarding the release of the next-gen premium OnePlus smartphone series.
