India’s gaming smartphone market has recently been getting some tough competition, especially since the launch of Nubia Red Magic 3 earlier this week (starting price – Rs 35,999). This Shenzhen-based smartphone maker is now planning for next release with the Red Magic 4. The device may launch within this year with the aim to grab the top position in this market segment.

Pan Forrest, Vice President, E-Commerce Business, Nubia India stated the following:-

“We are aiming to grab the top slot in the gaming smartphone market in India, which is poised to grow. The gaming industry is expanding, and gaming enthusiasts are more aware. Considering the prospects, we will launch the next iteration – the Red Magic 4 in India by the end of 2019.”

According to a recent report by US-based cloud services provider Limelight Networks, 23.4 percent of Indian gamers spend more than seven hours playing each week. Furthermore, 11.4 percent of gamers admitted that they spend more than 12 hours a week.

From the above news, it is obvious that Nubia is posing as a tough competitor to Asus ROG Phone and the Black Shark 2 that start at Rs 69,999 and Rs 39,999, respectively.
