Redmi K20 leaks and renders have been surfacing incrementally slowly but steadily revealing important specs of the upcoming device. Now Redmi via its official Weibo account has confirmed the presence of a 48MP rear camera. In one of the Weibo post, Redmi wrote “Eye-opener, Sony 4800MP camera”.
In another post, Redmi wrote “A Fly the sky, pop-up front camera” referring to the pop-up camera. If you look back, yesterday Redmi’s GM Lu Weibing shared a series of posts revealing the details of the upcoming flagship.
In one of the post, Lu Weibing confirmed the device to be lighter than some of the other phones that feature pop-up cameras, owing to the optimizations carried by the engineers. In another post, he mentions about the durability of the selfie camera in which the pop-up usage exceeded 3,000,000 times. Further, the pop-up camera is capable of taking 100 selfies per day and lasts for more than 8 years.
Other features revealed so far
Apart from the camera department, Redmi K20 is said to feature OLED display, in-display fingerprint sensor. A Snapdragon 855 processor will power the handset. The official release date of the device is yet to be announced.
