Alleged Xiaomi Mi Band 5 certified by NCC, Taiwan; Redmi Band confirmed to launch as Mi Band 4C

Xiaomi’s upcoming smart band bearing the model number XMSH10HM  just got certified by NCC, Taiwan. We speculate the model number belongs to the Mi Band 5, which is expected to launch in H2 2020. If we recap, the Mi Band 4 comes with the model number XMSH07HM and the Mi Band 3 has the model number XMSH05HM. Going by the series, we can expect the XMSH10HM should belong to the Xiaomi’s upcoming smart band, the Mi Band 5. The Mi Band 5 is expected to feature a 1.2-inch display, a considerable upgrade from the 0.95-inch display in the Mi Band 4.

Redmi Band Confirmed to Launch as Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4C Globally

Redmi had launched its first-ever fitness band, the Redmi Band for the Chinese market. The same band appears to be launching as Mi Smart Band 4C globally, according to the certification spotted on Indonesia Telecom website. According to the listing, the Mi Smart Band 4C comes with a model number HMSH01GE, which the Redmi Band also posses. Hence we can confirm that Xiaomi is launching the Redmi Band as Mi Smart Band 4C in a few markets.

To recall, the Redmi Band packs a 1.08-inch color OLED display. The band comes with standard USB-A plug and comes with 14-day battery life. The optical hear rate sensor and 5 different sport modes can help track your physical fitness on the go. The 5 ATM water resistance feature will guard the Band from water. The Redmi Band was launched at a price of CNY 95 (approximately Rs 1,000) in China.
