Xiaomi Mi 10 is making all the news these days for its flagship level specifications it will offer at an affordable price tag. Recently, Xiaomi Founder and CEO Lei Jun conducted a poll to let users vote for the memory configuration they are seeking in a flagship smartphone. He started with 6GB + 128GB combination and went till 16GB + 512GB pair in the poll.
In the poll results that Lei Jun shared today, the two memory configuration that received highest number of vote share are 8GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB. Surprisingly, the 6GB + 128GB configuration gathered very poor interest among the users. This made Xiaomi to work out a new strategy that a flagship smartphone (Mi 10) for the first time will start using the 8GB RAM in the base variant. This means that the Mi 10 will skip the 6GB variant and start with 8GB RAM in the base variant.
Lei Jun further shared that all the memory variants of the Xiaomi Mi 10 will use LPDDR5 memory. All this means, the LPDDR5 offers 6.4 Gbps of data transmission rate, which is twice as fast as LPDDR4 and 20% faster than LPDDR4x. Not only that, but the LPDDR5 consumes nearly 20% less power than its predecessors.
The other specifications of the Mi 10 may include Snapdragon 865 processor with 5G modem, 108MP camera, a punch-hole display. The Mi 10 Pro along with the Mi 10 Pro are expected to break cover on February 13.
